The Business Development Consultancy (BDC) was formed in Jan 2000 by Clifford Thomas, to bridge the SME Sales Gap for companies that offer services to business.
Over the years BDC has successfully helped many business owners close the SME Sales Gap (SME SALES GAP phrase developed by BDC in 2005) and is now one of the leading consultancies in the UK specialising in this area.
One of the key reasons for BDC's success is that it understands the issues facing the SME business owner. BDC charges nothing in advance for its services and does not expect any client to enter into long term contracts or agreements. Clients just pay for what they use. We like to say, we are only as good as our last sale.
Recognising that many SME business owners find it difficult to construct powerful sales messages BDC launched it's Copywriting Services in 2002.
During the next twelve months BDC launched BDC Sales Coaching, a unique mentoring and coaching service available to business owners who want to improve their own personal sales techniques.
In 2004 BDC created Intelligent Selling (IS) designed specifically to help the business owner to close the SME Sales Gap. It allows business owners to concentrate on their business whilst BDC develops more sales and helps them gain a competitive advantage.
Also in this year BDC launched BDC e-Learn a unique e-Learning tool designed to help business owners close the SME Training Gap.
In Jan 2005 BDC opened its new offices in Worthing to cater for IMPACT Telemarketing and the increase in BDC Intelligent Sales Agents.
During this year Sussex Enterprise elected Clifford Thomas to their panel of Sales & Marketing Experts.
In 2007 BDC developed it's business systems and routes to market in order that it would continue to grow profitably. Along with the dedicated efforts of all the team BDC achieved growth +120%. 2008 will also see BDC growing again with increased office space, personnel and a further offering of new client services. |
